POPSTAR! Magazine and PopstarOnline.com caught up with The Suite Life on Deck’s DEBBY RYAN on the red carpet of the Kids Choice Awards! She dished on how to deal with a dreaded bad hair day!

Joslyn Davis caught up with Debby Ryan at the 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards to talk about the amazing fans that show up for the show, starring in the new Disney Channel series ‘Jessie’, finalizing the show’s cast and meeting Stevie Wonder.

Not only is Debby Ryan guest starring on the Hub’s “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour” tonight, but she also recently landed her own Disney Channel series.

We sat down with Debby to find out what’ she’s most excited for with the show. “What I’m most excited about for the show is that I am 18 playing 18. I’m definitely playing my age and giving my voice, my posture and…I think it’s new ground for Disney,” she shared.

And what about all those people calling her the next Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez? Debby says, “[I’m aware] of the comparisons and the natural things there but in the same way when Miley came out it was like ‘Oh she’s the new HIlary Duff.’ I don’t aim to be anyone. I just kind of aim to find myself and act and I like to tell stories. I love to do what I do. I love to tell stories, I write songs and I write music but I don’t see myself as a Hannah Montana or a Selena or something.”

She also told us about what to expect from the rest of the episodes of “The Suite Life on Deck.”
